With more and more homes coming onto the foreclosure market these days, there has been significantly growing interest in foreclosures for sale around the country. Every day, foreclosures for sale go up for auction in every state, and now it seems that they are getting more and more attention from interested buyers.

As 2008 is well underway, Minnesota is following the trend of the previous year and continues to experience extremely high numbers of foreclosure homes in areas across the state. Minnesota has traditionally been a rather stable market, but due to the widespread presence of adjustable rate mortgages, it has not escaped the firestorm of foreclosures that has swept the national housing market.

As the country braces for yet another year of projected highs in state and national foreclosure rates, many state authorities have undertaken steps to discover ways to combat the crisis, save homeowners from losing their homes, and fight the housing crisis that has now had a drastic effect on the national economy. North Carolina it seems is at the forefront of this endeavor, as they announced Monday that two state agencies will be donating $300,000 to counselors working to inform families and homeowners of their options when facing foreclosure so that it might be avoided.

As the foreclosure crisis nationwide worsened during 2007, many states saw their inventories of foreclosures reach new heights, and Arizona, which has long been one of the states most troubled by the foreclosure surge, was no exception.
