Foreclosure Help in Colorado and Arizona
Amidst the enduring problem in the housing industry, state and local governments are working overtime in order to provide millions of Americans with assistance in order for them to keep their homes and avoid foreclosure.
In Boulder County, Colorado, foreclosure prevention workshops are being prepared in line with the local official’s goal to assist distressed homeowners. These workshops are open to all local residents and given for free. There is even no need to register.
The main objective of the workshops is to provide homeowners with sufficient information in order for them to make informed decisions regarding their mortgage problems. Another state that hopes to provide their local residents with assistance is Arizona. Using a portion of their $1.3 million federal grant, a foreclosure help line was established. The said help hotline can be reached 24/7 and are manned by foreclosure counselors who are knowledgeable about the Arizona foreclosure laws.
Aside from this foreclosure help hotline, the state has also expanded its Foreclosure and Eviction Prevention Program, hired more foreclosure counselors to be trained, scheduled foreclosure prevention workshops and even brought together government representatives, organizations and community leaders to educate and provide assistance to distressed homeowners.
With all these efforts, many homeowners facing foreclosure are given hope that they could solve their mortgage problems and stay in their homes. On top of all these, there is also the mortgage rescue bill that will help these distressed borrowers refinance their existing mortgages and switch to government-backed loans.
